A must Read: " The Shack"

The Shack Pictures, Images and Photos
I have not blogged in a while, but I just had to share what an amazing book this is and I'm only half way through the book. If you really want a new prospective of what our God is then this is a must read. It has touched my life in a very powerful way. I can't wait to finish. It gets four thumbs up!!!

To busy to even blog......

I'm finally home and able to blog...I have been a working fool. I thought about blogging one nite, but it was a thought for a brief second as I crawled in to my bed.
We have been really busy at work, so many sick people and so little time to blog!

Instead, I had to listen to a resident freak out on me in the elevator for pushing the button for the 3rd floor, as I was pushing a Bipap machine to a patients room with family in toe, because and I quote" I don't have time to stop at the 3rd floor, because someone is dying on the 4th floor." I looked at her with a look of are you serious!
Really let's think about this... if someone is going to check out of this world, it is going to happen if you are in the elevator or at their bedside trying to flip through your little pocket medical book to refresh your memory in what to do to prevent them from taking their last breath.

I don't know if indeed someone passed away on the 4th floor. One,because a code blue button was not pushed, to bring about twenty people at bedside to try and prevent what God is trying to accomplish, or Two, the person has DNR tattooed to their chest in which I will have done before I become of age when someone has to wipe my butt, feed me, or put me in a chair to continue enjoying my pinacalada, aka, ensure, and basking in the Hawaiian sun as they pile on the blankets on my wrinkled skin.

O.k. enough of blah, blah, blah, talking. I might become a blogging fool on my days off, so if you enjoy reading my ramblings I have a couple thing to talk about!!
Also, I can touch base with all my blogging friends, which I miss the most.

Flixster - Share Movies

We normally have a movie and popcorn time over the weekend, so I thought my Mondays blog was going to be Monday Movie Review. It could be new or old movies, which make it to my review...so get ready Oscor!!! Becky's in the house to place the academia ward placement
This movie was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I give it two thumbs up!!! It is such a good story about life, and how things play out for better or worse. It is a movie that grabs your attention from the start of the movie until the very end...besides the mom intermissions I had to , answer All Questiom , get snacks, and ignore from my lovely darling children.

Mrs. Police Women, please take me to jail!!

It is late and just came home from work after giving life saving Jesus Albuterol,(no making fun of my Lord intended) to come upon a smashed up car with smoke rolling out of it.
Jamie was my BFF for the night and became a cab driver at the end of her day to bring my sorry butt home. Which by the way it is Friggin cold outside at a -2 degree's in Michigan.(I HATE WINTER!!!!) When Jamie's ass warmers in her Toyota didn't even heat the cold leather seats so the Popsicles on my butt would melt until half way home.
A big thank you goes out to her, but first back to my point. This drunk punk comes outside from the bar across the street and asked if we are their to help tow him out? Is he high, Yes,he probable was along with one to many drinks with an open beer bottle laying on his front seat. The car was leaking fluid, but he said it would run and even stated it would if I bet him a hundred dollars.
Really drunk dude go back into the bar with your bad self, because the two hot women in our purple scrubs think we are bad to the bone to render first aide if someone needed help.
The only help needed was to find him a nice room and board, three square meals and a new friend called Buba Bob to fetch the soap. The reason why you ask, because someones mom, brother, dad, sister, aunt, uncle, grandma, grandpa, or the child you hold close to you heart might be killed by that drunk punk!
I wounder how the punk liked the ride to his new room and if the car was towed by a nice family man at -2 degrees. What I have to say about that is sorry sucker, someone is safer tonight. Thank you Lord....Goodnight

We just took some pictures of our dog Raven. I thought they were cute and a guy I work with named steve is always asking to see more pictures of our dog. Hope you like them.

False alarm

My eyes opened in response to the smoke alarm blaring at 7:01. My 17 year old Jordan decided he was hungry before school and made an egg sandwich. I have no problem feeding my 6"2, 200 pound son, but serious do I have to be jolted out of bed in that manner? I'm in the kitchen by then I might as well pour myself a cup of coffee. Bless my husband for making mud (aka, coffee) before he leaves for work.
I'm pouring my cream in my cup and the dog has sniffed and licked my hand, they older two have ask for money to by a drink(because they must of been hungry today due to they made a boxed lunch. Mom's ATM has been telling them insufficient funds.) Logan dancing in front of me doing the pee dance asking to take a shower and Paige said mommy followed by a horrible croup cough.
I let out a big sigh... asked the Lord to please help me and started to give orders like a drill Sargent in the army. Raven(the dog) go lay down, Ashley please go get my purse, yes Logan you may take a shower (to get the white sticky stuff out of your hair from last nite, because dad didn't put you in the shower because mom was in bed early due to my stomach) and I yell to go potty and use soap, and Paige go lay down I'll make a doctors apt.
I finally take a sip of my coffee and think to my self this is going to be one of those day's! I got Logan ready and dressed and ready for the bus stop. He went out side and I watched him go to the bus stop. He came back in and said no kids where their yet. The bus comes in 3 minutes. He said his face was cold. I said it isn't that bad, he started to go back out to the bus stop and then I stuck my head out the door. That wind hit me and I yelled for him to come back and I would take him to school. He was already at the stop and the bus came. I feel so bad! I don't want him to have the memory of growing up and telling the story to his friends that his mom made him walk to the bus stop with the wind chill factor at sub zero, up hill, with no shoes. LOL
What a morning... well I have to call the doctors office. It feels good to blog again. I was busy, plus I sometimes don't know what to blog. I said to my self blog about anything! I really am not crazy. have a good day.....
P.S.
Jamie I don't know why my with love is at the top of my page. Please help.

And The Award Goes to...

ME!! I'm so proud to recieve these two awards from Kids...Me & RAW III and A Day with the Dod's. It really makes me feel special. I always can use new friends, bloggers(my peeps) and any other stalkers as my husband calls strangers. Since I don't have a lot of followers yet I need all the help I can get.

The award states: "These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

Honest Scrap award:
A) First list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep!
B) Pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

1. I snore like a jack hammer, so I'm told. I tell them that it is the dog. It is always a trickle down effect...the poor dog is always last to blame.

2. I sleep with five pillows and I will not share my favorite pillow.

3. I'm the queen of aluminium foil. I use it to cover everything. I need to take stock in it. My goal is to see the biggest tin foil ball.

4. I'm the oldest of six bothers and sisters. 4 sisters and 2 brothers. I was bossy when I was little. Go figure with the whole birth order thing. Controlling is not the best thing sometimes.

5. Chocolate is the six food group. I love the miniture heath bars and could eat them all day long. (That doesn't include my husband.)

6. You might think this is sick, but I shave the hair on my toes. LOL, so when I'am old and gray I will need someone to trim them. If not I'll win the hairy sexy beast award in the nursing home...I can't wait!!!

7. My mom named me after Rebecca from the movie Moby Dick. I thought it might have been biblical, but not the cases. I was given lynn as my middle name after her name Linda. She really wanted to name me Percilla. Thank you Dad.

8. I sound like a dead cat when I sing. I can't carry a note to save my life. I think I'm tone deaf.!

9. My favorite color is pink. It is my signature color...what movie is this quote from? It is one of my favorite films.

10. I'm late for everything thing. I tease and say I'm going to be late for my own funeral...maybe? Just make sure I have pinke roses... Also, I love the Lord and my prayer for each and every one of my peeps is to ask Jesus into their heart so I will see them in heaven. It is so easy. Just pray and confess you are a sinner and ask him into your heart, and then tell someone you did so.

I'm wipping the sweat off my forehead, because it was hard to dig deep and find 10 interesting things about me.

I pass this award to...

1. God's not finished with us.. Sarah

2. Our lives started together...Jessica

3. Critical Mass.. Rae Ann

5. The Mouro Family..Laura

I only have a couple of people to pass this on too. enjoy, it has been a blast getting to meet all of you.

Scarlet Fever....without the fever?

Hello Moms,
I'm done complaining from my last blog, I thought I would tell you what germ is going around Newport. My Logan over the weekend broke out with a rash. My first thought was Fifths Disease because his poor checks were beat red, like someone slapped him and hard. Also, his torso was covered. Doctors office here we come... he never ran a fever or complained of a sore throat for that matter. They tested him for strep in the office. The way they test to see if you have the horrible germ is swab and drop on what looks like a pregnancy test. I just think that is too funny! They invented more than one use for testing, either you are prego or you have strep. LOL Anyway, it was positive big time! Logan does have a high pain tolerance, but he didn't run a fever. I hope that it is just my kid and didn't have the normal warning signs or a new germ of strep is going around...so beware. I would have taken a poor picture of him, but I didn't think of it, plus he might not have let me play photographer mom. I'm glad we just went to the dentist, because he still had his new tooth brush to replace his old one. It's all good. Hope everyone stays well.

Making False Statements

Hello everyone,
I haven't blogged in a while, and I just have to let off some steam. I can't stand when people say things about you that are not true..... I'm really in a bad mood and I'm crabby with my family because of what happened tonight at my brownie meeting. I'm the leader of my daughters brownie troop. It only takes one or two moms to say things that are not true. My chin feel to the floor when other moms told me the things I was supposed to have stated about our cookie sales and about other people. This person effected the whole cookie sale process in our troop. I consider myself a nice person and I would never make comments to hurt people on purpose. All I have to say is that it is not high school anymore. So SHUT IT!!! and grow up. I'm just so hurt and can't believe people are so mean in this world. This also took place at work a couple weeks ago. I just can't believe someone is that miserable to take it out on someone else. Oh well, I have to get past it and make the best of the problem and make it a positive for everyone involved. Thanks for listening to me ramble and have a little pity party. I will blog on something more entertaining and interesting next time. May the Lord Bless your week.

Forgiveness

I just spoke with my best friend on the phone yesterday and she has been on my mind since I hung up the phone. We have been friends for a very long time. Let's just say we learned our ABC's together. I love her like she was my own sister. She is dealing with a lot of issues from her childhood. One, is forgiveness of people that hurt her so she can move past the issues and have real peace. It is one of the hardest things in life to accomplish. How many of us have struggled with this very issue? I just keep thinking how God forgives us all the time. I have given her the encouragement and advice, but if anyone has any other suggestions I could tell her, I would love to hear them.

Lable your Containers Please

I have a funny story to tell!!! I had to work Wednesday and Thursday afternoon shift so I haven't blogged in a couple of days. The girls from work heard the story, sorry, but it too funny not tell even at my own expense. It all starts out in a far away land...oh, no just kidding, It starts out from me calling home and checking up on everyone to see how their day went and say goodnight. My oldest son Jordan went along with my husband and acted like he wasn't home from work yet and they didn't know where he was at 8:50pm. Heath's normal time home is around 8 O'clock. I started to worry because the roads were getting bad because a storm was settling in our area of Michigan. I just said I would call my neighbor to go look for him, Jordan puts Heath on the phone, needless to say I was upset at the two of them and hung up the phone. I got home an hour late too because it was still snowing. I proceeded to heat my food up in the microwave from lunch and pored some gingeral to drink. I thought the pop looked a little flat, but I shrugged it off and sat down to relax and read the last couple of chapters of the fourth twilight book and try not to be mad at my husband anymore. It was dark and quite in the house. The kitchen stove light was enough light for me while I ate so I didn't notice how thick the liquid was in my glass. I took a couple of bites and preceded to take a drink, as peanut oil coated the inside of my mouth it occurred to me why the pop looked flat. I finally settled down to close my eyes after a hundred of mouth rinses and teeth brushing. The moral of this story is PlEASE label all containers when you fill it with a different product. LOL I hope this has made you smile a little. Have a great weekend.

The Flu

The Flu is a horrible thing. It all started Sunday, well Saturday night I should correct my self. My hubby, aka, Martha started vomiting while the girls were screaming during Paige's sleep over. I felt bad for him as he continued all the way into Sunday night. Then the puck start to fly. So far it has been a human target striking one person at a time. Jordan was next! Monday morning he was sick or so I was told, with me being at work taking care of more vomiting people, first thought that pops into my pea size brain is he just wants a day off of school. Then Paige is struck by the flu bug last night of her real birth day, which has made it the worst birthday ever, I kind of agree with her. Who will be next? I just hate it when the kids get sick they are so sad looking. Also, to add to my worries Ashley is home with a hormonal migraine. My pray for today is for my family to be healed of all this sickness and for a little sleep. LOL Until I blog again, off to a leaders meeting for Girl Scouts.

I remember having sleep overs a a young girl. What fun!! To be nine again, maybe I could get another pink silk jacket again for my birthday. LOL Aim really having fun with is blogging. I'm not computer smart so it is taking me awhile to set things up. A computer dumbo. and proud of it. I'm working on getting all my scrap booking stuff in order. I was given a cricut for Christmas. The Sleep Over

It is 11:53pm with Paige and her 3 friends painting finger nails and toes . I remember having sleep over as a little girl. They were so much fun, so I hope Paige is having fun. I'm getting a little tired so movie time is coming up and all the giggles in the dark as they fade off to sleep one by one. I'll update pictures tomorrow. We had birthday brownie ice cream Sunday's. Ashley is the cake maker in the family so next Friday or Sunday will be her Family party. I can't wait to see what kind of cake Ashley will make this year. Ashley is our 15 year old daughter. I have been told her sweet 16 is on April fools day, but I think she is trying to fool me again this year. Logan woke up having a nightmare I need to go comfort him. Until I blog again,
With love,
Becky

Last minute earns

So excited to have my first blog posting. It is Friday and Christmas vacation is almost over. I just decided to get out of my pj's and not by choice help my husband Heath buy car parts for our van. My husband's nick name is Martha as you get to know us you will understand why we call him Martha Stewart. I just have one question why do men think us women can buy the right car parts? It is like us sending them to buy tampons. Oh well, Murray's auto parts here we come. My daughter Paige is turning nine on Monday and we are having a sleep over Saturday nite for her and five other screaming girls. She is at a fun age and I can't believe she is going to be 9. She also reminds me she is almost double digits. I have to buy all the junk food for them and me too. LOL I also have to put the taxi sign on top of the mini van and drop Ashley of to grandma's house so she can go to a party with my 19 year old sister and my parents. Until we blog again.
